Shivan Temple is an excellent example of Indian rock-cut architecture in Rajamendry. This temple is also known by the name of kasi visweswara Swamy panchaýatana Alabama . It is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple was built in the 2001 by MVR Trust , who founded Mr. Raju Garu. The temple has special astronomical significance. About an hour before sunset on the day of Makar Sankranti, the Sun’s rays happen to pass between the horns of Lord Shiva’s bull (Nandi) and bathe the main idol of the temple in light. It is the most spectacular scenery and is known as Surya Majjana or Sun Bath. The temple will reopened and allow the devotes to Lord Siva, night at 7.30PM temple will be closed.
